General Terms and Conditions

 

Test and Tag service:

Appliance Testing and Tagging service does include:

  • Testing of appliance to the standards.
  • Fitting a Tag (PASS or FAIL) depending on test results.
  • Remove from service of faulty appliances.
  • Inform customer of results and issues.

 

Appliance Testing and Tagging service does not include:

  • Repairs
  • Spares
  • Replacements

 

Appliances that fail:

Any devices that fails to pass the testing will be unplugged the customer will be notified and the device will receive a “FAILED” test tag.

 

Register of Devices Tested:

A listing of devices tested including re-test date will be supplied.

 

Fault Liability:

Be aware that a very small amount of tests performed may cause equipment to malfunction after testing (the testing may cause an existing problem to fault).

 

Testing Victoria will not be held liable for any fault that may occur during or after testing.

 

Loss of Data:

Testing Victoria is not responsible for the loss of any data, which may occur while performing Appliance Testing and Tagging.  (We highly recommend you back up your data before we are requested to test the Appliance).

 

Payment:

Payment terms may be stated on any quotations, but generally final payment must be made on completion of testing. Where services are rendered over a period longer than 7 days, weekly progress payments may be required.

 

For approved credit account customers, payment is due no later than the agreed number of days from the invoice date. If the Customer fails to make payment by the due date, then, without prejudice to any other right, Testing Victoria will be entitled to suspend any further works until the account is in order, apply a late payment fee of $35.00, withdraw credit facilities, and add interest at the rate of 15% per annum calculated daily will be payable on all outstanding amounts not paid within terms.

 

If legal action is taken to recover monies due to Testing Victoria’s, then Testing Victoria’s reserves the right to charge the Customer all costs incurred in such proceedings.

 

Access to Appliances:

Easy access to appliances which are to be tested will be required. Appliances should be out of cupboards, boxes etc, and placed on a table or other suitable surface where inspection and testing can be carried out.

 

Access to the Customer’s premises for the purpose of conducting the inspection and testing is also required. Parking for Testing Victoria’s vehicle(s) will be provided by the customer, or a surcharge may be payable by the customer. Where the customer cancels a booking with less than 24 hours notice or access cannot be gained to appliances for inspection, a cancellation fee will be charged.

 

Cancellation of booking:

A minimum of 8 hours notice is required to cancel or alter an arranged booking. An administration fee of $150.00 is payable if less than 8  hours is given.

 

General:

Testing Victoria reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time, any changes to the terms will be posted on the website. You should visit this page from time to time to review the current Terms because they are binding on you.
